Use the Ruby In Steel RHTML Editor when you need syntax coloring for HTML and embedded Ruby code. When working with complex HTML, the Visual Studio HTML editor is a better choice. The HTML editor supports embedded styles (CSS) and JavaScript coloring; HTML tag-matching using clickable tags beneath the editor and IntelliSense features such as completion lists for HTML attributes. Switch between the editors to take advantage of the special features of each. You will be prompted to save unsaved changes before switching.

You may also switch to the HTML editor by selecting from context (right-click) menu in the RHTML editor. Toggling between the two editors only works for Rails (.rhtml) files, not for HTML (.htm or .html) files.
